Logitope offers a competitive manual solution for converting PDFs and images into MS Word documents, with prices typically between 2% to 6% of the cost of translation.¹ The result are professionally formatted, clean files that ensure a smooth translation process, minimize the post-formatting workload after translation, and warrant that a CAT-based wordcount analysis returns the minimal—correct—result. See CAT Optimization for further information on our conversion methods.

Depending on the project's requirements, we are able to reproduce your PDF or image files in full detail in MS Word, including all formatting attributes such as tables, columns, automatic table of contents, etc. as appropriate.

To ensure completeness and accuracy, the converted files are always checked by a second person before delivery, paying particular attention to numbers extracted from scanned documents.

Per-page prices for conversion are generally between USD 1 and USD 3. The following table contains price estimates for different kinds of documents and requirements that experience has proven to be fairly reliable. You can find additional information on the factors influencing cost on the Conversion Cost Factors page. Please feel free to contact us for a no-obligation quote.

1 - Based on per-page prices in the range USD 1 - USD 3, a text volume of 500 words per page and translation costs of USD 0.10/word. For multi-language projects, the relative cost is correspondingly lower.

2 - "Essential" refers to all formatting that is necessary for typesetting of the target language without knowledge of the target language. For example, bold type would be considered essential because the typesetter would have to know which words to set bold in the target language. However, the background color of a paragraph or the exact look of a headline would be considered inessential.
